The Omaha SteakHouse Story
A Family Business Serving The World Since 1917
It all began back
in 1897, when J.J. Simon and his son B.A. sailed to America from Europe.
After exploring the country, they settled in the Midwest where endless
fields of golden corn and clear running streams were abundant. This,
they felt, was the perfect place to raise and produce beef of the highest
quality.
In 1917, they started
the Table Supply Meat Company, which provided Nebraskan corn fed beef
to the finest restaurants in the land. Folks across the nation began
writing and calling to find out how they could enjoy this tender, flavorful
beef right in their very own homes. Their interest was taken to heart.
In 1952, the Simons
began to sell their products by mail, and thus a new name was born for
the company…Omaha Steaks International. Now thousands of people, in
areas where corn fed beef is impossible to find, can have Omaha Steaks
conveniently delivered right to their doors. Every day, we're finding
new ways to offer you more…more variety, more quality, more convenience.
